At Iwi Training, we welcome rangatahi (youth) aged 16-19 who are passionate about learning practical skills in horticulture and building, while staying grounded in the values of Te ao Māori. Our programs offer hands-on experience, personal growth, and the opportunity to achieve NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3.
How to Enrol:
Eligibility:
Must be aged 16-19
For those under 18, consent from a parent or guardian is required (as per NZ law)
Have an interest in horticulture or building
Be committed to embracing Māori values and learning in a whānau-centered environment
Enrolment Process:
Step 1: Fill out the online enrolment form below
Step 2: Our team will contact you for a kōrero (conversation) to discuss your goals and answer any questions
Step 3: Receive confirmation of your place in our programme
What You’ll Need:
Proof of age (e.g., birth certificate, passport)
A signed permission slip from a parent/guardian if under 18
Commitment to attend all classes and practical sessions
Key Dates:
Enrolment Process: We have a rolling intake so students can enroll at any time
Program duration: Each course runs for 26 weeks but every student has the opportunity to learn with us for 1 - 2 years.
