About us here at Iwi Training

We teach vocational pathways to help our rangatahi gain their NCEA credits and a level 2 or 3 qualification in Horticulture and Building.   We strive to provide the necessary support to our rangatahi so they can be better equipped in the real world.

We pride ourselves on manaakitanga and we are big on creating a whanau environment for all involved.  We value the importance of respect and to treat others how you would like to be treated.  We provide a safe space for our rangatahi so they can thrive in a learning environment.

We believe in the strength of whanau and whenua and the importance of the two for our rangatahi to be better equipped for their own whanau. Through our programs,  our students can learn how to be in the maara (garden) and learn how to be a kaitiaki of our whenua while fostering practical skills that equip our rangatahi for successful futures. Our kaupapa (purpose) is to uplift our youth, supporting their growth in both personal and professional spheres, while upholding our tikanga and kawa. 

Together, we build stronger communities, grounded in strong family values and principals, preparing our next generation to walk with confidence and mana to govern themselves to be the best they can be.
